About us

Island View Design is a professional cabinet shop located on the south shore of Nova Scotia, specializing in custom residential furniture and cabinetry.

Solid pine headboard, designed to compliment the clients existing antique dresser. Finished in a tinted wax.

Solid maple dresser - 1 of 2 matching pieces. Finished in an antique mahogany stain with satin top coat.

Oak Morris Chair and matching side tables, commissioned for a rare book room in a university library. Light walnut Danish oil finish.

Reclaimed wood harvest table - finished in danish oil and wax. Dovetail keys to provide support at any splits in the 100 year old boards.

Maker

Carole Burnett has been making furniture in Nova Scotia for ten years, after graduating from Humber College's Cabinet Making Program in 2002.

She is constantly inspired by the natural world around her. Her extensive travels have exposed her to a wide variety of furniture designs, both contemporary and classical.
