About Carole Burnett

Carole Burnett is a graduate of the Humber College Cabinet Making Program (2002). After a short employment at Armstrong Inlay, learning the art of veneering from Paul Armstrong, she returned to work at the college as a Technician in the Cabinet Making Program and as Cabinet Making Instructor in the Continuing Education Department. This opportunity allowed her to work with her mentor - Mark Paddison (Erasmus Hill Design) for two years and hone her skills.

Upon moving to Nova Scotia in 2004, Carole set up her own shop and opened Island View Design. Working predominately in the residential market, we have worked with individual clients, as well as architects and builders to provide millwork for custom homes across the province.

Now into her 20th year, Carole is heading back to her roots and moving away from kitchens and back to custom furniture.

If you are interested in having a custom project created please contact us by email or the contact page providing some information about what you are looking to have done. We will start with gathering some basic information, this can be done by email, phone or home visit depending on the scope of the project. Once we have enough information, the design process will begin. This will result in drawings as well as material and finish samples.

Pricing is determined using all these criteria. Once design and pricing is agreed upon you will be placed in the queue. We will try and give a timeline estimate to the best of out ability but this is variable and some delays are unavoidable. There is a deposit required - usually about a month prior to building and balance is due upon delivery.

We stand behind our work, contact us if you need and adjustments or repairs.
